Who can apply
Study loans are available to Nedbank clients from 18 to 24 years old, who wish to further their studies on a part-time or full-time basis at a recognised Institution or University.
You will need:
- A Nedbank transactional account
- A registration letter from your chosen institution
- A valid Namibian ID or passport.
- For second year and subsequent years of studies, a further loan will be granted provided that you supply proof of the previous year’s academic results.
In addition, you will need someone to sign surety for your student loan.
What is needed for surety?
You can provide a guarentee of surety, limited to N$60,000 per year, by supplying the following:
- Proof of income or latest salary advice (comission earners must provide 6 months' proof of income).
- Identity document or a valid passport.
- Marriage certificate or antenuptial contract (If married).
- Spousal documentation (If married in community of property).
- Signed suretyship document with proof of collateral.
- Registration letter from Institution as proof of registration.
- Invoice from the Tertiary institution for tuition fees.
- If residence will be taken up in the campus hostel, such invoice for accommodation for the year to be submitted.
- If off-site accommodation will be taken up, rental agreements to be provided.
- Invoices of all other costs to be covered by the student loan.
