1 October 2026
The 2026 Nedbank for Good Series wrapped up its qualifying campaign at Omeya Golf & Lifestyle Estate on 26 September, with Gerrit van Rooyen and Mary-Ann Boltmann emerging victorious in the men’s and ladies’ divisions, respectively. As the 13th and final qualifying round ended, attention now turns to the highly anticipated season finale at Windhoek Golf Club on 13 November.
The men’s competition at Omeya was closely contested, with Gerrit van Rooyen and Tiaan Snyman both finishing on 42 points. Van Rooyen secured first place on a count-in, while Snyman took second place on a count-out. John Williams completed the top three with 39 points. In the ladies’ division, Mary-Ann Boltmann claimed first place with 37 points. Anja Wessels finished just one point behind on 36 points to secure second place, while Anecia le Grange rounded out the top three with 33 points.
Tournament organiser, Dan Zwiebel, said the Omeya event provided a fitting conclusion to the qualifying stage of the series: ‘Reaching the end of the qualifying rounds is an important milestone in the Nedbank For Good Series calendar. We have seen competitive golf and committed participation throughout the series, and Omeya provided a fitting conclusion to this stage of the competition. I would like to congratulate and acknowledge our winners in this round, the players who participated in the games on the day, our sponsors, and host club. We look forward to the final.”
Nedbank Namibia Communications and PR Manager, Selma Kaulinge, said the conclusion of the qualifying rounds provided an opportunity to recognise the golfers and partners who have supported the series throughout the year: ‘The conclusion of the qualifying stage at Omeya marks another important moment in the 2026 Nedbank For Good Series. As money experts who do good, Nedbank Namibia is proud to support a series that brings golfers together at clubs across Namibia and provides amateur players with an opportunity to compete. We congratulate the victors on their performance at Omeya, as well as all the golfers who have participated throughout the qualifying rounds.’
