A culture of risk management and good governance

Our risk team independently consults the entire Nedbank Group on strategic risk management, whether it’s funding, lending, trading or business management. They offer assessments, internal audits, and response protocols, helping to manage threats, uncertainties and opportunities. Our Enterprise Wide Risk Management Group Risk is comprised of both seasoned professionals and first-class graduates. Its divisions include the following:

  • Operational and enterprise-wide risk management.

  • Legal.

  • Market, credit, and portfolio risk monitoring.
  • Corporate insurance.

  • Forensic services.

  • Internal audits.

  • Financial crime and security.

  • Risk strategy.

Governance also advises the Group on burning issues and new opportunities, from our social and environmental impact to Nedbank’s CSI initiatives.
